Phoenix, AZ, October 12, 2026 — Tempe, Arizona

Police in Tempe have recommended multiple felony charges against Antony Cruz, a former school district surveillance officer. The charges include 98 counts of voyeurism and two counts of bestiality.

Authorities allege that Cruz, while employed as a surveillance officer for the school district, improperly accessed and downloaded video recordings. These recordings reportedly depict teen girls changing at Corona del Sol High School.

The specific details regarding the timeline of the alleged actions, the exact nature of Cruz’s surveillance duties, and the timeframe during which these alleged incidents occurred were not provided in the initial summary. The outcome of the police recommendation, including whether charges will be formally filed or what the next steps in the legal process may be, also remains unstated.

Voyeurism, as defined by law, generally involves the surreptitious observation of individuals in a state of undress or performing private acts. Bestiality refers to sexual activity between a human and an animal. The combination of these charges indicates a serious investigation into the former officer’s conduct.

The summary did not specify the contractor’s name or any other entities involved beyond the school district and the police department. Information regarding any internal investigations by the school district or disciplinary actions taken prior to or following these allegations was also not detailed. The status of the investigation and any potential legal proceedings against Mr. Cruz have not been elaborated upon beyond the police recommendation.
